Population Served:  

The school psychologist responds to referrals involving any student who attends regular or special education programs in DeKalb County.

Overview of Program: 

Any child in regular or special education programs experiencing difficulty adjusting to the schools situation.

Services Include: 
1. Direct counseling to individuals and small groups.
2. Consultation with teachers and parents. 
3. Assistance in developing diagnosis and prognosis for treatment of individual needs. 
4. Referral and coordination with other agencies. 
5. Classroom affective education. 
6. Assist in developing behavioral programs. 
7. Home school communication. 
8. Participate as Pupil Personnel Services Team.

Referral Procedure: 

Through local Pupil Personnel Services Team, parents, teachers or other agency requests.
