Population Served:
Children ages birth until three years of age who have been
identified with developmental delays or at risk of developmental
delays. Eligibility is determined by the guidelines of the
Illinois Department of Human Services Early Intervention System.
Overview of Program:
Providing support to families of children with developmental
delays. TEAM offers family-centered services that focus on
helping children reach their potential.
Services Include:
- Child development specialists who work directly with the
child and provide suggestions to families to enhance
development. Child developmental specialist offer parenting
education, support, and information about community services.
- Family Support services provided by a licensed social
worker. Assists families to locate resources, identify, and
copy with the stresses of parenting a child with special needs.
- Direct speech therapy in the home setting including
augmentative communication systems. A licensed speech
therapist develops the speech plan which is carried out by a
credentialed speech therapy assistant.
Develop and implement assistive technology assessments.
- A loan program for equipment and materials at no cost to
families.
- A library of books and videos for families to use.
- Infant-Toddler Screenings held throughout the county at no
cost to families.
